Museum Street... and the hill...

As Sue and I walked around town, we went along a beautiful, winding road... lined with museum after museum.

Truly, Malacca must have a museum for ever little thing! It was fun to walk along and just pass one after the other... and to see what type of museum would be next!

Along museum road, we came to this...

There was a large hill behind this, turns out to be St. Paul's Hill, with another structure at the top (turns out to be the remainder of St. Paul's Church), so we decided to climb the stairs and check it out.

Malacca was under Dutch rule for some time... but was also ruled by the Portuguese during the 16th century... they built this fort on the top of the hill to overlook the river. Something I read also said that this is the oldest European architecture in Southeast Asia.

There was a dutch cemetery along the way, as well as this beautiful flower garden on our way up:

Gobama! (sarcastically)... I mean, really?!
