Hoi An's Japanese temple-bridge

The most well-known tourist attraction in Hoi An is its Japanese temple-bridge.

There is a small temple within the bridge... and two dog statues guard the one end, while two monkeys are on the other. There are different beliefs as to the reason for this... my favorite is the belief that construction of the bridge was started in the dog and ended in the year of the monkey (2 years).

The bridge is located in the town's center on the river.

(We stayed at a hotel about 1km outside the town's center... and the hotel had free bicycle rentals, which turned out to be a great way to get around Hoi An!)

...Just beautiful.

Below is a short video of the bridge and the surrounding area.

My favorite moment is when Elizabeth says hello to a local!
