A. Ho Chi Minh City
B. Hoi An
The town's center is an UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are four main streets, lined with shops, tailors (clothing and shoes), cafes, and little sidewalk restaurants with miniature plastic stools to sit on.
The buildings are stone, brick, and a beautiful antique yellow... with a mix of teals and blues.
I feel that Hoi An is on the brink of exploding with tourism. I'm happy to be here now... as soon as you arrive in Hoi An you feel a sense of calmness, peace, and positive energy.
AND... just a short bike ride from the town's center are stunningly gorgeous white sand beaches! The best part? -- we were the only ones on the beach when we went. ...Mountains were in the distance, there was a breeze, the sound of the waves, and we sat under a straw umbrella on lounge chairs. (Just don't order beer or iced coffee... as lukewarm for each beverage is no good and that's probably what you'll get.) :P
...Pictures are coming! ...And I'm really excited about them. :)
