Ta Prohm Temple

Heading into the Angkor Wat area, this was my first spotting of an old temple!

Getting dropped off at the entranceway to the Ta Prohm Temple, lots of tuk tuks are waiting for their customers to take them to the next stop. Once you have a tuk tuk driver, you stick with them the rest of the time. Many tuk tuk drivers have hammocks that they hang across the inside of their tuk tuk and nap until their customers return.

I wanted my first temple visit to be the one with the trees growing over the temples with long, exposed roots. This area was constructed during the 12th and 13th centuries. Ta Prohm Temple is a bit far from the main temple locations but it definitely did not disappoint!
