Dalat, Day 2 - Crazy House!

Donna joined Kathleen and I for our 2nd day in Dalat. We needed to check out of the hotel by 2:00pm and figured we'd grab a nice lunch before hopping in a taxi at 4:30pm to get to the airport... so we wanted to fit in as much as we could before then.

We really lucked out with the weather over the weekend. Even though our first day was a bit rainy here and there, the timing worked out really well with our plans. Then, Saturday morning could not have been more beautiful!...

(I found this guy on our way in to breakfast. As I took it, Donna said to Kathleen, "Stacia's taking pictures of dead things." hahaha - Yup! but it's pretty fantastic.

Each taxi we took in Dalat was more interesting than the next! Their decorations were awesome.

We started the morning off at the Crazy House (or Hang Nga Guesthouse)... and crazy it is! This place is awesome. A Vietnamese woman studied architecture in Moscow and then designed this house. Overall, it resembles a tree with winding paths and stairs in all different directions. It is a hotel... up and running... but seems to be more of a tourist locale and I wouldn't want to stay here. It was a lot of fun to visit and roam around!

The Crazy House opened in 1990 and parts are still being added on to. Below are some videos and pictures that I took...

The architect's plans.

Hotel room!

Store within the Crazy House.

This one is my favorite.  :)
